Quick Summary: AIX Pay Card

What Stands Out

  • Virtual and physical Visa prepaid cards funded with USDT, USDC, FDUSD or WUSD
  • Four separate stablecoin balances with deposits across Base, BSC, Ethereum and Solana where supported
  • Up to five cards per account, each linked to one selected stablecoin balance
  • Google Pay support for both virtual and physical cards
  • A referral can waive the full $5 virtual-card fee or reduce a physical card from $10 to $5

Important Trade-offs

  • Every purchase carries a 1% transaction fee; non-USD transactions add 1.2% FX
  • ATM withdrawals add 2% before the 1% transaction fee, possible FX and operator charges
  • The account-wide spending limit and ordinary wallet cap are both $5,000
  • dtcpay safeguards and controls the funded AIX Pay balance; connecting an external wallet does not keep card funds self-custodial
  • AIX does not publish one complete applicant-country list, and the public app-review sample is still too small for reliable service-quality conclusions

How AIX Pay Card works

AIX Pay Card is a Visa prepaid card connected to the AIX Pay Wallet. The user deposits a supported stablecoin into a dtcpay-operated balance, chooses which balance a new card will use and then spends against the available amount. It is not a revolving credit card: purchases require money in the linked balance, and there is no unsecured credit line or monthly borrowing bill.

Specification Current position
Network Visa
Payment model Prepaid card funded from an AIX Pay stablecoin balance
Formats Virtual and physical
Supported balances USDT, USDC, FDUSD and WUSD
Card-to-balance rule One stablecoin balance per card; the linked balance cannot be changed after issuance
Cards per account Up to five in any virtual/physical combination
Issuer and wallet operator Digital Treasures Center Pte. Ltd. (dtcpay)
App operator AIXPAY LIMITED
Custody dtcpay provides safeguarding, deposits, custody and transfers for the funded wallet balance
Purchase reward No cashback or spend-based points programme
Referral reward $5 card-fee waiver for both users after a qualifying registration, up to five waivers during the campaign

Connecting MetaMask, Trust Wallet, Coinbase Wallet or another external wallet is a funding convenience. A user controls assets in that external wallet before transfer, but stablecoins deposited into AIX Pay move into a custodial product operated by dtcpay. The connected-wallet claim therefore should not be read as self-custody of the card balance.

Each AIX Pay card uses one stablecoin account selected during application. A user who wants to spend from another stablecoin must apply for another card and pay the applicable fee or use a referral waiver. Balances cannot be pooled to rescue a purchase when the selected card balance is short.

Fees and limits

AIX Pay's app-store copy advertises no hidden charges, but its specific help-centre fee articles list a 1% card-transaction fee, a further 1.2% for non-USD transactions and a 2% ATM-withdrawal fee. Those specific charges are the useful numbers for budgeting.

Card and purchase fees

Fee Published amount Practical meaning
Virtual card issuance $5 One-time application fee; one referral waiver can cover it
Physical card issuance $10 Includes delivery; one referral waiver reduces it to $5
Annual fee $0 Current app listings advertise no annual fee
Card transaction fee 1% Applies to USD and non-USD purchases
Foreign exchange (FX) fee Additional 1.2% Applies when the transaction currency is not USD, using the current Visa exchange rate
Virtual card replacement $5 Published reissuance fee
Physical card replacement $10 Published reissuance fee
Crypto deposit fee $0 from AIX Pay The sending wallet or blockchain can still charge network fees

A USD purchase therefore costs the purchase amount plus 1%. A non-USD purchase adds both the 1% transaction fee and 1.2% FX fee, for 2.2% in AIX Pay charges before any difference created by Visa's exchange rate or merchant dynamic currency conversion.

ATM withdrawal cost

Withdrawal AIX Pay charges before ATM-operator fees
USD withdrawal 2% ATM fee + 1% transaction fee = 3%
Non-USD withdrawal 2% ATM fee + 1% transaction fee + 1.2% FX fee = 4.2%

An ATM owner may add another surcharge and will display it before confirmation. Dynamic currency conversion can also worsen the exchange rate. AIX Pay does not publish a fee-free ATM allowance or a public cash-withdrawal limit, so this is better suited to occasional cash access than regular ATM use.

Spending and wallet limits

Limit Standard public amount Scope
Monthly card spending $5,000 Entire account across all cards, not $5,000 per card
Wallet balance $5,000 Combined value of USDT, USDC, FDUSD and WUSD
Number of cards Five Any combination of virtual and physical cards
Minimum stablecoin deposit 0.01 Applies to each supported stablecoin
Daily purchase limit Not stated Check the live app before a large transaction
ATM withdrawal limit Not stated Check the card controls or support before relying on cash access

AIX says users can request higher spending or wallet limits by supplying documents such as payslips, tax returns, employment contracts or business bank statements. Approval is discretionary; the public $5,000 figures remain the dependable starting limits.

Virtual and physical cards

AIX does not publish a reward-based tier ladder. It offers the same core product in virtual and physical formats, and an account can hold up to five cards.

Feature Virtual card Physical card
Issuance fee $5 $10 including delivery
Replacement fee $5 $10
After approval Issued immediately Printing and delivery usually take 3–15 business days
Online purchases
Google Pay
Physical point of sale ✅ through Google Pay where accepted ✅ with card or Google Pay
ATM use AIX does not state a separate virtual-card rule ✅ at supported ATMs
Stablecoin choice One balance selected at issuance One balance selected at issuance
Monthly limit Shared $5,000 account limit Shared $5,000 account limit

Apple Pay is not listed as supported in AIX's current digital-wallet help article; Google Pay is the confirmed option. Physical delivery uses a supported courier destination. AIX says a failed delivery after three attempts leads to destruction of the card and a new order, so the address should be checked carefully before approval.

Rewards and referral programme

AIX Pay does not advertise cashback, purchase points, staking rewards or a future token tied to card spending. Its current incentive is a Member Get Member campaign that reduces card issuance fees.

For each friend who registers successfully through the user's referral link during the campaign period:

  • the existing user receives one $5 card-fee waiver;
  • the new user receives one $5 card-fee waiver;
  • the waiver is normally issued automatically after successful registration;
  • one waiver applies to one card, covering a $5 virtual card or reducing a $10 physical card to $5; and
  • each user can earn up to five waivers while the campaign is active.

The campaign period is shown in the app rather than as a fixed public end date. AIX can withhold or revoke rewards for suspicious, abusive or fraudulent activity. This is a real fee saving, but it is not cashback and should not be compared with a percentage reward on everyday purchases.

Stablecoins, networks and funding

The AIX Pay Wallet keeps four separate stablecoin balances. The supported deposit networks are not identical for every asset.

Stablecoin Supported deposit networks
USDC Base, BNB Smart Chain, Ethereum, Solana
USDT BNB Smart Chain, Ethereum, Solana
FDUSD BNB Smart Chain, Ethereum, Solana
WUSD Ethereum

AIX promotes connections to more than 700 external wallets through its wallet-connection layer. That can simplify address selection and funding, but the user still needs to match the asset and network exactly. A transfer on an unsupported network can be difficult or impossible to recover.

Crypto deposits carry no AIX Pay fee. The sending wallet, exchange or blockchain can still charge withdrawal and network fees. AIX applies a same-name rule: deposits from a third party can be placed under review and may require a prolonged reversal to the sender. Users should fund from an account whose verified name matches the AIX Pay KYC profile and keep the transaction hash until the balance is credited.

The card supports merchant transactions in fiat currencies accepted by Visa, but the spending source remains the selected stablecoin balance. For non-USD merchant currencies, Visa supplies the exchange rate and AIX adds its published 1.2% FX charge on top of the 1% transaction fee.

Custody and regulation

AIXPAY LIMITED operates the app and customer experience. Its own help centre says it is not the virtual-asset provider, card issuer, bank, payment institution, wallet operator, custodian or remittance business. Digital Treasures Center Pte. Ltd.—dtcpay—issues the card and is solely responsible for card applications, transactions, settlements and card-related asset transfers.

AIX's wallet page also states that dtcpay operates the AIX Pay Wallet and provides safeguarding, deposits, custody and transfers. The card balance is therefore custodial. Users do not retain independent control of stablecoins after funding and depend on dtcpay's systems and compliance decisions to spend, transfer or withdraw them.

The Monetary Authority of Singapore lists Digital Treasures Center Pte. Ltd. as a Major Payment Institution for account issuance, domestic and cross-border transfers, merchant acquisition, e-money issuance and digital-payment-token services. MAS says Major Payment Institutions face more comprehensive regulation and customer-money protection requirements than standard payment institutions. That regulatory status is meaningful, but it is not the same as a bank deposit guarantee or user-held private keys.

The practical custody rating is therefore 2.0: suitable for a provider-controlled prepaid balance, not self-custody. Connecting a Ledger, MetaMask or another self-custody wallet does not change the custody of funds after they are deposited into AIX Pay.

Country Availability and Restrictions

Applications are active through the AIX Pay app, but AIX says the card is not offered in every location and does not publish one complete residence list. Merchant acceptance at more than 175 million Visa locations describes where an approved card can be spent; it does not prove that residents of all those countries can apply.

Identity and Address Verification

The application requires:

  • a valid passport with at least three months remaining;
  • proof of residential address issued within the previous six months;
  • a matching country of residence; and
  • any additional liveness, face-matching or address-verification checks requested during onboarding.

Identity and address review usually takes up to two business days. Final approval belongs to dtcpay. Virtual cards are issued immediately after approval; physical cards normally require another 3–15 business days for printing and delivery.

Restricted Countries and Regions

dtcpay's current prohibited-country page includes Afghanistan, Albania, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Central African Republic, Croatia, Cuba, Democratic Republic of the Congo, North Korea, Ethiopia, Iran, Kosovo, Libya, Liberia, Mali, Myanmar, Montenegro, Nicaragua, Rwanda, Russia, Serbia, Somalia, South Sudan, Slovenia, Sudan, Sierra Leone, North Macedonia, Venezuela, Haiti, Syria, Yemen and Zimbabwe. It also names the Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk/Lugansk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions of Ukraine.

That prohibition list is useful for exclusions but cannot be reversed into a guaranteed list of eligible countries. AIX can impose additional product, delivery or partner restrictions during application. Applicants should select their real residence in the app before paying or moving funds.

Security, disputes and support

The app advertises biometric login, two-factor authentication, passkeys, anti-phishing codes, card lock/unlock controls and transaction notifications. These controls help protect account access, but they do not remove the custodial dependency or the need to monitor transactions.

If a card is lost or a transaction looks unauthorized, users can lock the card in the app and contact support. AIX's chargeback guide gives a 120-day dispute window and asks for the transaction date, amount, merchant and evidence that the user first attempted to resolve the issue with the merchant. A chargeback outcome is not guaranteed, so prompt reporting and saved receipts matter.

Same-name funding is another important operational control. A deposit can show as under review or at risk of being frozen when the sender name does not match the AIX Pay KYC profile. AIX asks for the date, amount, transaction hash and screenshots; third-party deposits cannot be credited and can face a long reversal process.

Support is available at [email protected] and through the published Hong Kong hotline. AIX advertises 24/7 assistance. Because the card balance is custodial, support and compliance resolution are materially more important than for a wallet whose owner can always move funds with independent keys.

User feedback and product maturity

The current public feedback sample is too small for a responsible conclusion about service quality. Google Play shows more than 10,000 downloads, while Apple's storefront says the app has not received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview. Searches of independent review platforms and social communities did not produce a sufficiently attributable, non-promotional sample of cardholder experiences.

That absence should not be treated as either positive or negative proof. It means operational claims such as fast approval, broad acceptance and round-the-clock support have limited independent testing in public. The sensible approach is to start with a small deposit, test one purchase and the withdrawal route, and keep another payment method available until the account has worked reliably in the user's country.

The official support library does at least document failure paths: card declines, unauthorized-charge disputes, same-name deposit reviews, network mistakes and failed delivery. That is more useful than a purely promotional FAQ, but it remains issuer guidance rather than independent evidence of typical resolution speed.

Best suited for

AIX Pay Card is best suited to:

  • stablecoin users who want a straightforward virtual or physical Visa card;
  • users whose preferred asset and network appear in the four-stablecoin support table;
  • people comfortable keeping only a modest spending balance with a regulated custodian;
  • users who value Google Pay and the ability to hold several cards linked to different stablecoins; and
  • applicants whose monthly card spending stays below $5,000.

It is a weaker fit for reward seekers, heavy international spenders, frequent ATM users, Apple Pay users, or anyone who requires independent key control over the funded balance. A 2.2% non-USD purchase charge and up to 4.2% in AIX Pay ATM charges can outweigh the low issuance price.

Top-Up Methods

  • Prefund the custodial AIX Pay Wallet before card spending
  • Deposit USDC on Base, BSC, Ethereum or Solana; USDT/FDUSD on BSC, Ethereum or Solana; or WUSD on Ethereum
  • AIX Pay charges no crypto-deposit fee, but the sending wallet or blockchain can charge
  • Each card spends from one selected stablecoin balance, which cannot be changed after issuance
  • Third-party deposits can be held for review and returned through a prolonged reversal process

Self-Custody Custodial

  • External wallets remain user-controlled until funds are transferred into AIX Pay
  • dtcpay operates the AIX Pay Wallet and provides safeguarding, deposits, custody and transfers
  • Card spending draws from the dtcpay-controlled stablecoin balance, not directly from the external wallet
  • Account access, compliance reviews, withdrawals and settlement depend on dtcpay and the AIX Pay programme

Pros and cons

Pros Cons
✅ Low $5 virtual and $10 physical issuance prices ❌ 1% fee on every card purchase
✅ USDT, USDC, FDUSD and WUSD support across several networks ❌ Additional 1.2% fee on non-USD transactions
✅ Up to five virtual or physical cards per account ❌ ATM withdrawals can cost 3%–4.2% before operator charges
✅ Google Pay for virtual and physical cards ❌ $5,000 account-wide monthly spending and wallet caps
✅ Current referral waivers can cover a virtual-card fee ❌ No purchase cashback or spend-based points
✅ dtcpay is listed by MAS as a Major Payment Institution ❌ Custodial card balance and no complete public applicant-country list

Verdict

AIX Pay Card offers a clear proposition: deposit one of four stablecoins, choose a virtual or physical Visa and spend from that balance without opening a conventional bank account. The issuance price is low, Google Pay works with both formats, and the multi-network wallet can make stablecoin funding convenient.

The transaction economics are less attractive than the broad “low-fee” message suggests. Every purchase costs 1%, non-USD spending costs another 1.2%, and ATM use stacks a 2% withdrawal charge with the transaction fee, possible FX and operator costs. The $5,000 account-wide monthly limit also keeps the product in the everyday-spending rather than high-volume category.

For someone already holding a supported stablecoin and spending mainly in USD, AIX Pay can be a practical secondary card. Start small, verify application availability and the live fee screen, and avoid treating the connected external wallet as proof that the funded card balance remains self-custodial.
