Effective Return = Monthly Cashback - Monthly Fee (in USD)

Monthly Cashback = Calculated based on your monthly spending of $1,000, taking into account spending limits

Monthly Fee = Base fee + Prorated annual fee + Top-up fees + Crypto-to-Fiat fee + Estimated FX Fee

Est. FX Fee Cost = ($1,000 × 20% Spend Portion - Card's Free FX Limit) × Card's FX Fee Rate

Calculated using the card's actual FX fee rate on the portion of your spending you estimate incurs FX fees (20%)

Crypto-to-Fiat Fee = Weekday spending × Base fee % + Weekend spending × (Base fee % + Weekend fee %)

Note: We estimate 40% of spending occurs on weekends when the higher weekend conversion fee applies

Top-up Fees = Flat Fee + Monthly Spend × Top-up Fee %

Decision guide

How to compare crypto cards

Headline cashback is only one part of a card's value. Start with availability in your country, then compare the complete cost of earning and using the rewards.

1. Check availability

Card programmes, physical delivery, mobile wallets and individual tiers can vary by country.

2. Count every fee

Compare monthly and annual charges alongside issuance, top-up, crypto conversion and foreign-exchange fees.

3. Value the requirements

A high reward rate may require a token stake, paid subscription or spending threshold that changes the real return.

4. Consider custody and KYC

Review who controls funds before a purchase, how conversion works and which identity checks are required.

Frequently asked questions

Crypto card comparison FAQ

What is the best crypto card?

There is no single best card for everyone. The right choice depends on where you live, how much you spend, how much cross-currency spending you do and whether you are willing to stake or hold a provider token. Use the calculator above to compare estimated net value for your circumstances. For a separate overall view, our top-rated page ranks cards using the editorial scoring model. View the overall ranking.

Does the highest cashback rate always mean the best value?

No. Headline cashback can be reduced by reward caps, token requirements, monthly subscriptions, annual fees, conversion costs and foreign-exchange fees. A lower advertised rate can produce a better net return when it has fewer conditions or lower costs.

Which fees are included in the effective-return estimate?

The calculator includes recurring subscription fees using the documented monthly/annual billing relationship, plus top-up fees, crypto-to-fiat conversion fees, weekend conversion fees and estimated FX fees based on your cross-currency spending. It does not deduct one-time card issuance, ATM charges, taxes, token-price changes or the opportunity cost of staking.

What is the difference between a crypto debit card and a crypto credit card?

Crypto debit and prepaid cards generally spend from a funded balance and may convert crypto into fiat before or during a purchase. Credit-style crypto cards may provide a conventional credit line or let you borrow against crypto collateral. Provider terminology varies, so check how a card is funded, when conversion happens and whether repayment or liquidation risk applies.

How current is this crypto card comparison?

The latest card-data update is shown above the comparison table. Crypto card rewards, fees and availability can change without notice, so confirm important terms on the provider website before applying or transferring funds.
