What the Bit2Me Card is

The Bit2Me Card is a Mastercard debit card for spending balances held inside the Bit2Me platform. A cardholder selects a supported Bit2Me Wallet or Earn balance, and Bit2Me converts the required amount to euros when a purchase is made. The card is issued by PECUNIA CARDS EDE, S.L.U., commonly known as Pecunpay.

It is available as a free virtual card and as a physical plastic card. Apple Pay and Google Pay are supported, and the linked spending balance can be changed from the app. This makes the card convenient for an existing Bit2Me customer who already keeps euros or supported crypto on the platform.

Specification Detail
Network Mastercard
Payment type Debit card
Card formats Virtual and physical plastic
Issuer PECUNIA CARDS EDE, S.L.U. (Pecunpay)
Platform Bit2Me
Mobile wallets Apple Pay and Google Pay
Card maintenance €0 per month and €0 per year
Highest card cashback 7% in B2M at Space Center Level 7
Application markets 29 listed EEA countries

The word “debit” does not mean that the card pulls assets from a self-custody wallet. The spendable balance is held on Bit2Me, and both conversion and card authorization depend on the platform, issuer and Mastercard rails.

How spending works

The card does not require a separate manual card top-up for every purchase. Instead, the user links an eligible Bit2Me Wallet or Earn balance. When a transaction is authorized, the selected crypto balance is converted to euros, or the Euro wallet is debited directly.

Funding choice Purchase fee Card cashback What happens at purchase?
Supported crypto Wallet 0.95% According to Space Center level Bit2Me converts enough crypto to euros
Supported Earn balance 0.95% According to Space Center level The supported Earn balance funds the conversion
Euro wallet 0% 0% Euros are debited without crypto conversion

The trade-off is simple: the Euro wallet avoids the 0.95% crypto-funded transaction charge, but it also gives up the card cashback. A Level 1 user earning 0.25% in B2M would not offset a 0.95% crypto-spending charge. A higher-level user may earn more than the fee, subject to the reward cap and the market value of B2M.

Transactions can remain pending before they complete or reverse. Cashback should therefore be judged on completed eligible purchases, not merely an initial authorization. Declines can result from insufficient balance, card or account restrictions, purchase limits, unsupported merchant categories or security checks.

Space Center cashback

Bit2Me Card cashback is tied to Space Center. Level 0 earns no card cashback. Levels 1 through 7 earn progressively higher percentages in B2M, but every level also has a monthly cashback cap.

Level Space Center points Card cashback Monthly cashback cap
Level 0 0 0% €0
Level 1 1,000 0.25% €7.50
Level 2 2,000 0.5% €15
Level 3 3,000 1% €30
Level 4 4,000 2% €100
Level 5 5,000 3% €175
Level 6 6,000 5% €250
Level 7 9,000 7% €300

The cap changes how useful the headline rate is. At Level 7, €300 of maximum monthly cashback corresponds to about €4,286 of fully eligible spending at 7%. At Level 1, the €7.50 cap is reached at €3,000 of eligible spending, but the 0.25% reward remains below the 0.95% crypto-funded purchase fee.

Cashback is not paid on Euro-wallet purchases. Bit2Me’s card terms also exclude categories such as financial services, casinos, lotteries and betting. The minimum cashback amount is €0.01, so very small eligible purchases may not produce a reward.

The broader marketing can combine several different benefits: card cashback, yield on assets held in Earn and merchant-specific rebates in Trips & Discounts. Those are separate products with separate conditions. A merchant offer or Earn yield is not an extra universal percentage on every card transaction, so the total should not be presented as a standard 39% card cashback rate.

Reward history and qualification

Space Center became the qualification system behind Bit2Me Card rewards in 2023. Bit2Me’s 2024 recap said more than 100,000 users had advanced through Space Center and that 15 million B2M had been distributed through card cashback during that year.

The card reward rates still run from 0% to 7%, but the upper monthly caps are lower than the earlier €300, €500 and €900 figures once published for Levels 5, 6 and 7. The current table shows €175, €250 and €300. That history matters because the percentage alone does not describe the present reward ceiling.

Points can come from missions and qualifying activity across the Bit2Me ecosystem. Bit2Me also offers a programme that lets users redeem or burn B2M for permanent Space Center points. The exact economic cost of a level is therefore not a single fixed euro stake: users can combine different routes, and mission availability can change.

For card comparison purposes, however, the points are a real qualification requirement. The 7% reward is not a zero-requirement tier merely because a user can earn points without staking. Levels 1 to 7 therefore carry effective reward thresholds of 1,000 to 9,000 Space Center points.

Programme benefit How to read it
Card cashback Fixed percentage and monthly cap by current Space Center level
Wallet fee discount 0% to 100% discount according to level
Earn benefit Level-dependent; the live rate is shown in the app and can change
Launchpad access Access improves by level; Level 7 receives the strongest published access
Trips & Discounts Merchant- and booking-specific offers, not universal card cashback

Users should check their actual Space Center point balance and the live in-app benefit table before paying for a physical card or moving assets solely to chase a headline reward.

Fees

There is no monthly or annual card fee. The main recurring card cost is the 0.95% charge when a purchase is funded from crypto. Foreign-currency and ATM charges depend on the route.

Fee Amount
Virtual card issuance €0
Physical card — Levels 0 to 2 €20
Physical card — Level 3 €10
Physical card — Level 4 €5
Physical card — Levels 5 to 7 €0
Delivery outside Spain Additional €5
Monthly / annual maintenance €0 / €0
Crypto-wallet or Earn spending 0.95%
Euro-wallet spending 0%
Euro payments 0%
SEPA payment in a non-euro currency 1.75%
Other foreign-currency payment 2%
ATM in Spain €0 from Bit2Me; ATM operator charges may apply
ATM elsewhere in the Eurozone €2.50
ATM outside the Eurozone €0.55 + 1%, minimum €0.75
Virtual-card replacement €0
Three-month inactivity charge €0

The 1.75% and 2% foreign-exchange charges are alternatives for different routes; they should not be stacked together. The same applies to ATM fees: a Spanish withdrawal, a Eurozone withdrawal and an outside-Eurozone withdrawal follow different schedules.

An ATM owner can add its own charge. Mastercard’s exchange rate and the card’s published foreign-currency fee can also affect the final euro amount when the transaction is not denominated in euros.

Limits

Bit2Me’s current costs and limits page publishes a single card-purchase limit table across Levels 0 to 7: €2,500 for a single purchase and per day, €20,000 per month and €200,000 per year.

Card-purchase limit Amount
Single transaction €2,500
Daily purchases €2,500
Monthly purchases €20,000
Annual purchases €200,000

A separate, still-accessible Space Center benefit article shows older level-dependent values for the lower tiers. Because the newer costs page explicitly spans every level, the current universal table is the better basis for comparison. Users with an existing account should still treat the app’s own limit screen as the final operational value.

The current ATM table publishes €300 per day, €3,000 per month and €30,000 per year, with no more than 5 withdrawals per day, 50 per month and 150 per year. One sentence on the same page conflicts with the table by mentioning a higher daily figure; the repeated table value is used here.

ATM limit Amount
Daily volume €300
Monthly volume €3,000
Annual volume €30,000
Daily withdrawal count 5
Monthly withdrawal count 50
Annual withdrawal count 150

The page also shows €300 of fee-free ATM volume without clearly identifying the period and route. It is safer to rely on the location-specific ATM fees above than to assume every cardholder receives a recurring €300 fee-free allowance.

Card tiers

The eight rows are Space Center reward levels rather than eight different card products. The physical card design and core payment functionality remain broadly the same; the meaningful changes are cashback, monthly reward cap, physical-card issuance price and ecosystem benefits.

Level Points Cashback Cap Physical card Wallet fee discount
0 0 0% €0 €20 0%
1 1,000 0.25% €7.50 €20 1%
2 2,000 0.5% €15 €20 5%
3 3,000 1% €30 €10 15%
4 4,000 2% €100 €5 30%
5 5,000 3% €175 €0 50%
6 6,000 5% €250 €0 75%
7 9,000 7% €300 €0 100%

All levels require a verified Bit2Me account and tax residence in a supported country. Level 0 gives access to the card without a Space Center point threshold. Higher reward rows apply only while the account holds the corresponding level.

The Wallet fee discount refers to eligible Bit2Me Wallet transaction fees, not every card, FX or third-party charge. Earn rates are displayed live and should not be frozen into a card comparison as a permanent per-level APY. Trips & Discounts contains positive merchant offers, but their participating merchants and percentages can change.

Supported assets

The current linked-balance article lists the following Wallet assets: EUR, BTC, DOT, XRP, ETH, SOL, ADA, POL, CCD, USDC, TON, EGLD, EURC, DEGEN, EUROP, LINK, EUROD, EURCV, USDCV, EURQ, USDQ and HYPE. The current Earn list is narrower: BTC, ETH, USDC, EURC and HYPE.

Balance type Examples Card treatment
Euro wallet EUR 0% transaction fee; no card cashback
Crypto Wallet BTC, ETH, SOL, ADA, DOT, USDC and other listed assets 0.95% transaction fee; eligible for level cashback
Earn balance BTC, ETH, USDC, EURC, HYPE 0.95% transaction fee; eligible for level cashback

The asset list can change as Bit2Me adds or removes supported Wallet and Earn balances. Selecting an asset for spending also creates market and tax consequences: the amount sold depends on its euro value at the moment of conversion.

Supported Countries and Restrictions

Bit2Me publishes an affirmative list of 29 countries. The applicant must be registered and verified and have tax residence in one of them:

Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden.

Ireland is not on the current list. Argentina, Andorra, San Marino and Vatican City also do not appear on the current card page and should not be treated as supported application markets. The legal terms additionally identify several prohibited citizenship or residence jurisdictions, including the United States, Japan, Afghanistan, North Korea, Cuba, Guinea-Bissau, Iran, Iraq, Syria and Tajikistan.

Availability check Position
Verified Bit2Me account ✅ Required
Tax residence in a listed market ✅ Required
Virtual card ✅ Offered in supported markets
Physical card ✅ Offered subject to delivery eligibility
United States ❌ Not supported
Ireland ❌ Not on the affirmative country list

Merchant acceptance is broader than application availability. A Mastercard can work at merchants in many countries without residents of those countries being able to order the card.

Custody, issuer and security

Bit2Me Card is custodial. Bit2Me holds the crypto and euro balances inside the account, selects and converts the linked asset, and can restrict the account for security or compliance. Pecunpay issues the card and controls the electronic-money and card layer. Mastercard provides the acceptance network.

Layer Controller Practical consequence
Crypto balance Bit2Me User does not hold private keys for the card-linked balance
Conversion Bit2Me Purchase depends on platform pricing, availability and account status
E-money and card Pecunpay Authorization, suspension and card rules depend on the issuer
Merchant acceptance Mastercard and acquirer A merchant or network can still decline a transaction

Pecunpay is an electronic-money institution supervised by the Bank of Spain and registered under CSB 6707. Bit2Me is regulated separately for its crypto-asset activities. Regulatory authorization improves accountability and imposes compliance duties, but it does not make a custodial crypto balance equivalent to a self-custody wallet or a bank deposit.

The card supports 3-D Secure, two-factor authentication, instant app controls and transaction notifications. Those controls reduce some payment risk, but they do not remove provider dependency. The terms allow card or account access to be suspended for security, legal and compliance reasons.

For that reason, a cautious user should keep only an appropriate spending balance on the platform, enable all security controls and test support and withdrawals before relying on Bit2Me as the only route to funds.

User feedback

Public feedback covers the wider Bit2Me platform more often than the card alone. Trustpilot currently shows a 3.8 out of 5 score from about 2,420 reviews. Its recent distribution is polarized: positive reviews commonly praise the app, daily card use, cashback and helpful support, while negative reviews frequently describe account reviews, changing verification requests, withdrawal delays or inconsistent support.

Google Play shows roughly 3.9 out of 5 from about 8,700 reviews. Individual complaints include manual-review delays and a card dispute experience; positive users describe the app and card as practical. Apple’s Romanian storefront shows 4.8 out of 5 from 66 ratings, including positive comments about everyday card use and cashback, but that is a small regional sample.

Feedback theme What users report How much weight to give it
Everyday card use Smooth purchases, useful cashback and convenient app controls Positive and directly relevant when clearly card-specific
Support Both fast resolutions and slow or repetitive responses Mixed; outcome appears case-dependent
Verification and restrictions Requests for more documents, reviews and temporary access problems Material because the product is custodial, but usually platform-wide
App ratings Generally positive aggregate scores with sharp negative anecdotes Useful context, not proof of a universal experience

These reviews do not establish how common any one failure is. They do show the main operational risk: when the card works normally it can be convenient, but a compliance or support problem affects a balance the user does not control with private keys.

Who the card suits

The Bit2Me Card is best suited to an existing Bit2Me customer in a supported EEA country who understands Space Center and wants a single app for crypto balances, euro spending, mobile-wallet payments and B2M rewards.

It can be attractive at Levels 4 to 7, where cashback exceeds the 0.95% crypto-funded transaction charge before considering B2M price changes and the monthly cap. The Euro-wallet route can also make sense for someone who values the app and card controls more than rewards.

It is less compelling for a new Level 0 or Level 1 user who would move crypto to Bit2Me only for the card. Level 0 earns no cashback, and Level 1’s 0.25% reward does not offset the 0.95% charge. Users who require self-custody or dependable access to a large balance should compare alternatives with a different custody model.

Top-Up Methods

  • Funding: Link a supported Bit2Me Wallet or Earn balance; no separate card preload is required
  • Crypto spending: The selected asset converts to euros at purchase and carries a 0.95% transaction fee
  • Euro spending: The Euro wallet is debited directly with a 0% transaction fee and 0% card cashback
  • Controls: Change the linked balance in the Bit2Me app

Pros and cons

Pros

  • Virtual card is free and the card has no monthly or annual maintenance fee

  • Clearly differentiated crypto and Euro-wallet spending routes

  • Euro-wallet purchases earn no card cashback
  • Cashback is paid in the volatile B2M token and capped monthly

Verdict

Bit2Me Card is a strong ecosystem card for the right Bit2Me user, not a universally free 7% cashback card. Its practical advantages are a free virtual Mastercard, no recurring card fee, easy switching between supported balances and useful Apple Pay and Google Pay support.

The reward proposition depends heavily on Space Center. Level 0 receives no cashback, Level 1 receives less cashback than the crypto-spending fee, and the 7% tier requires 9,000 points and stops at €300 per month. B2M price movement can further change the value received.

For an established user who already has a useful Space Center level, the card can provide a competitive return on ordinary eligible spending. For a newcomer, the sensible test is to compare the cost of reaching and maintaining the desired level, use a small balance first, and verify the app’s live limits and benefits. Anyone prioritizing self-custody should look elsewhere.

Tax considerations

Spending crypto normally involves a conversion to euros and can create a taxable disposal depending on the user’s jurisdiction. B2M cashback, Earn rewards and token redemptions may also have separate income or capital-gains treatment. Users should keep transaction records and apply the rules for their country of tax residence.
