How Winity Life Works
Winity Life combines a custodial digital-asset wallet, a USD balance and a Visa prepaid card. Users deposit supported assets into the Winity app. Stablecoin deposits can fund the USD spending balance without a stated deposit margin, while other supported assets are converted inside the platform. Card purchases then spend the USD balance rather than sending crypto directly to the merchant.
WTY Technology Hong Kong Limited operates the app and card programme. Winity's terms explicitly say that WTY is a technology provider and programme manager, not a bank, custodian or financial institution. Unnamed licensed partners issue the card, hold card-related funds and perform conversion and settlement. This distinction matters: Visa acceptance does not mean the card is bank-issued by Winity, and users do not retain private-key control over money moved into the spending account.
The onboarding flow has two approvals. A user first creates and verifies a Winity account, then submits a separate card application. Once the application is approved, the Exclusive virtual card appears in the app. A newly issued virtual card must receive at least a $25 deposit within 14 days or it can be deactivated, unless it is linked to an active physical card.

Cards, Fees and Limits
Winity markets three formats: Exclusive Virtual, Exclusive Physical and Executive Metal. The virtual and physical Exclusive cards have different recurring costs: the virtual card is free, while the $20 annual charge belongs to the physical card. Winity currently waives the first six months on new physical-card activations.
Exclusive card
The Exclusive virtual card is issued after KYC and card approval with no issuance or annual fee. Under the current physical-card promotion, a user who spends $25 on the virtual card can request the physical card with no issuance charge; delivery charges may still apply. The physical card then costs $20 per year, with the first six months waived for new activations.
| Exclusive fee or rule | Amount |
|---|---|
| Virtual-card issuance | $0 |
| Virtual-card annual fee | $0 |
| Physical-card issuance | $0 after $25 eligible virtual-card spend, while the offer is active |
| Physical-card annual fee | $20; first six months waived on new activations |
| ATM withdrawal | $3 |
| PIN change at an ATM | $5 |
| Chargeback processing | $100 |
| Minimum balance to transact | $25 |
| Small-transaction fee | $0.10 on purchases below $25 |
| Card spending fee | Shown in the app; no universal public rate |
The current public FAQ does not publish complete purchase, daily or monthly limits. Account-specific limits and current card-spend pricing should therefore be checked in the app before funding a large balance. A merchant or ATM operator can also impose its own charge.
Executive metal card
The Executive card is not the live entry-level product. Winity's May 2026 announcement describes it as a premium metal card and directs prospective members to a waitlist. Published benefits include a faster points rate, dedicated member service, concierge-style assistance, a relationship manager and 3 GB of Umi travel data per year. The announced annual fee is $1,000.
The parent Winity Life Card remains available because the Exclusive card is live. Only the Executive tier should carry a Coming Soon or waitlist status.
| Feature | Exclusive | Executive |
|---|---|---|
| Current status | Available | Coming soon / waitlist |
| Virtual card | Included | Announced |
| Physical card | Plastic; current spend-based issuance offer | Premium metal card announced |
| Recurring fee | $0 virtual; $20/year physical | $1,000/year announced |
| Points rate | 1 point per $10 eligible spend | 1 point per $8 eligible spend |
| Umi data | 1 GB after $5,000 eligible spend | 3 GB annually, subject to final terms |
| Staking | None | None |
Winity Points and Promotions
Winity Points are loyalty points, not cash, crypto cashback or a token. Exclusive earns 1 point per $10 of eligible card spend and Executive is advertised at 1 point per $8. Qualifying deposits can also earn small point bonuses: 2 points at $500, 5 at $1,000, 9 at $1,500 and 15 at $2,000.
The most important limitation is redemption. Winity's current loyalty page and FAQ say that users can earn and track points, but the curated redemption portal is still being integrated. Travel, dining, lifestyle and everyday redemptions are future categories rather than an immediately available cash value. A prospective user should not value the points like cashback until redemption choices and conversion values are live.
Winity has changed promotions several times since launch:
- The December 2025 Christmas campaign paid a $5 deposit bonus and ended on March 31, 2026.
- The current physical-card offer makes issuance free after $25 of eligible virtual-card spend.
- Winity Loop uses referrals and network spending. Current promotional details should be checked in the app because referral campaigns and reward mechanics can change independently of the base card.
- Umi benefits connect eligible spending to mobile-data perks. Exclusive requires $5,000 of eligible spend for 1 GB; Executive advertises 3 GB annually, subject to programme terms.
These campaigns can add value, but the reliable base comparison is the fee schedule and the 1-point-per-$10 Exclusive earn rate—not expired deposit bonuses or an assumed cash value for points.
Funding, Conversion and FX
Winity supports USDT and USDC stablecoin deposits at a stated 0% deposit fee. Its current homepage also displays ETH, SOL, POL, TRX and WCO, with Ethereum, Solana, Tron, Polygon, BNB Chain and W Chain as supported networks. An older onboarding guide additionally names BNB as an asset. Because the app can change asset and network support, the deposit screen should be treated as the final source before sending funds.
| Funding action | Published charge |
|---|---|
| USDT deposit | 0% |
| USDC deposit | 0% |
| WCO deposit | 5% |
| Other non-stable asset conversion | 5% |
| Card spend | Current rate shown in the app |
| Non-USD merchant purchase | Visa conversion plus any live programme pricing |
The older claim that WCO deposits or conversions were free is no longer correct. Winity's current FAQ explicitly lists a 5% WCO deposit fee. The same FAQ publishes a 5% conversion fee for non-stable crypto assets. That makes USDT or USDC the clearest low-friction funding routes.
Winity describes the balance as USD-denominated. A purchase in another currency therefore involves Visa's currency conversion. The public Exclusive page advertises no separate foreign-transaction fee, but that does not make every cross-currency purchase costless: Visa's rate, dynamic currency conversion at the merchant and live app pricing can still affect the result. Paying in the merchant's local currency is generally easier to evaluate than accepting a merchant's own USD conversion.
Supported Countries and Restrictions
Winity advertises card utility across more than 180 countries and 150 million Visa merchant locations. Those numbers describe where an approved card can be used; they are not a country-by-country applicant eligibility list.
The public site does not provide a current authoritative list of every country whose residents can apply. The terms instead say access is subject to Winity and partner approval, sanctions screening, jurisdiction and programme availability. Users should confirm that their residential address is accepted in the app before relying on availability.
Identity Verification
KYC requires personal details, a passport, driving licence or national identity card, and facial verification. Proof of address or additional information can be requested. Winity account approval and card approval are separate, and a successful account signup does not guarantee card issuance.
Tier Availability
This is not a waitlist-only product. The Exclusive virtual card has an active application path. The Executive metal card is the tier that remains on a waitlist.
Custody, Issuer and Security
Winity is custodial. Users send assets to a platform-controlled wallet, the programme converts supported assets into USD through licensed partners, and purchases use the resulting card balance. Users do not sign each card transaction with a self-controlled crypto key.
The programme has several security controls: app PIN and biometric login, two-factor authentication, instant card freezing, real-time notifications and biometric 3-D Secure approval for online purchases. Those controls can reduce unauthorized use, but they do not remove provider dependency. Winity and its partners may block transactions, suspend cards or request additional compliance information.
WTY Technology Hong Kong Limited is named as the technology provider and programme manager. The current public terms do not name the licensed card issuer or custodial partner. They also do not establish deposit insurance for the crypto or USD spending balance. Marketing references to licensed partners should not be read as a guarantee that Winity itself is a bank or that every balance is insured.
| Control | What it means |
|---|---|
| App freeze | ✓ User can immediately disable card transactions |
| Biometric 3-D Secure | ✓ Online purchases can require in-app approval |
| Self-controlled keys | ✕ Not provided for the spending balance |
| Named card issuer | ✕ Not disclosed on the reviewed public pages |
| Deposit insurance | ✕ Not established for the card balance |
| Provider dependency | ✓ Winity and partners control card and balance access |
User Feedback
Independent card-specific feedback is still very limited. Winity's Trustpilot profile had only one review in the reviewed sample. That reviewer said they used the card daily to turn ETH into grocery and fuel spending, reported fast transfers and successful use in the UAE, Qatar and Europe, and liked earning points. One positive review is useful as an anecdote but far too small a sample for conclusions about reliability or support quality.
App-store listings confirm that the consumer app is live, but much of the visible early commentary is expectation or platform-level feedback rather than detailed card use. Claims about thousands of users, fast setup and responsive 24/7 support come primarily from Winity's own marketing. Until there is a larger independent sample, users should test deposits, conversion, one purchase and one withdrawal with a modest balance before treating Winity as a primary account.
The current points gap is also part of the user decision. Points accumulate in the app, yet redemption is still pending. Users who care mainly about rewards should compare the value only after the portal, partner inventory and point conversion rates become usable.
Who It Suits
Winity is most relevant to a user who can pass the programme's country and KYC checks, wants a USD Visa funded with stablecoins, values Google Pay and is comfortable keeping only a spending balance with a custodial provider. The free Exclusive virtual card makes a small trial possible without an annual subscription.
It is less attractive for someone who needs Apple Pay now, a named bank issuer, insured balances, self-custody, transparent public spending limits or rewards with an immediate cash value. Funding with non-stable assets is also expensive at 5%, so users holding ETH, SOL, POL, TRX or WCO should compare an external conversion to USDT or USDC first.
Top-Up Methods
- Stablecoins: Deposit USDT or USDC at a stated 0% fee
- WCO: 5% deposit fee
- Other non-stable assets: 5% conversion fee
- Settlement: Assets convert inside Winity into a USD balance before card spending
- Minimums: Deposit at least $25 within 14 days of virtual-card issuance and maintain $25 to transact
- Live card-spend fee: Check the app before confirming
Verdict
Winity Life offers a live and potentially useful Exclusive Visa: the virtual card is free, USDT and USDC deposits carry no stated deposit fee, Google Pay works, and a physical card can currently be earned after modest card spend. Its weaker points are equally concrete: a $25 minimum operating balance, a $3 ATM fee, a 5% charge on WCO and other non-stable assets, a $100 chargeback fee, custodial access and an unnamed issuer.
Winity Points should be treated as future optional value, not present cashback, until redemption is live. The Executive metal card should likewise be evaluated as an announced waitlist product rather than a currently obtainable tier. For eligible users, the sensible approach is to start with the free Exclusive virtual card, fund with a small USDT or USDC amount, inspect the live spend quote and verify normal card use before maintaining a larger balance.
